Survey about the impact of Spaces for People measures

We’ve all seen the Spaces for People measures which have been rolled out across Edinburgh – cycle lanes, road closures, parking restrictions etc. The aim of the measures was to help protect against Covid. But the emphasis has now switched to climate change. Most of the measures are being retained for at least another 18 months.

Sustrans, who did the outline design of many of the measures, are running an online survey to help assess the impact of the measures on disabled people. For example they are interested to understand what disabled people think about having to cross a cycle lane to get to their bus or parked car, and how blue badge holders are impacted by the erosion of parking opportunities by the 25 miles of cycle lanes that the councilhave created.
